Graduated architecture student from Delft’s University of Technology with the focus on urban heritage, Lars van Straalen is a young starting photographer based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. From his architectural background he always looks at the built environment as a 3D space were life takes place. His photography is used as an architectural exploration tool to investigate this fast evolving environment and its wide spectrum of shapes. Through the lens this once so 3D space is flattened in a 2D frame of shapes. This phenomena inspires to compose his photography.
